Making complete sense, and I agree. Everything has been done. But building clones of cars that haven't even been built is a bit much. Maybe Steve just has a real good eye. Lots of Bad Penny colored first gens lately

The guy took someone else's rendering (in the open and admittedly) and made some changes to it to try to make it his own. And with the owner of the project and artist's permission apparently. Like what was said.... it's a frickin 1st gen Camaro... good look being truly unique... what else can you ask for here?

And where are all the Prowler Orange 1st gens? You seeing them? Or are you talking variations of that color?

Tough crowd around here sometimes...

Its tough to build a car these days. As I build my car I find build pics with guys doing what I wanted to do months ago. But they will get their car done faster and then its "theirs" These days 1st gens have been modded to the max. So lets just all be happy these cars are still on the road and that guys like us are keeping them alive.

It's pretty simple, when you choose to share your build with the world it's a risk you take. In the grand scheme of things, how often are these cars going to sit side by side? Everybody has their own idea of the perfect 1st gen and that's the fun part of this hobby. Luckily, we have the best aftermarkeet support of any car on the planet. I don't feel these cars are anywhere near the end of evolution.

On top of all that even if you do use ideas from another person you still have to put in the man hours and $$$$ in to execute the idea. I think it was cool for Steve agree to it, but he didnt stop there, he actually did a damn good job photoshopping his own rendering for a fellow lat g member. Thats pretty cool.

Did Hermance Design give you permission to use that rendering?
Ben Hermance is the one who made it black and I also asked Steve if I could use his rendering and change it because I like the stripe idea. If you dont like my car then click a different thread and hassle someone else. If I am the one spending 40-50K on a car then I will build it how I want regardless of whose car it ends up looking like. Hell, I guess every camaro now that buys Anvil carbon parts must be copying Motiv8r or Track Rat.
