Hey, I never realized you had a chromed rear bumper and a painted front. I was thinking of that look myself, but couldn't think of any cars that I thought really pulled it off until I saw your car

Since it looks like my Camaro's bound for SEMA, I suppose a bonus to the trip will be seeing "Payback." maybe the Best of Show guys could be convinced to paint the front bumper...

and I know everyone's already said it, but you did a great job on that car, its beautiful.

Nah, we haven't really thought about the Optima challenge. As cool as it would be, I think there will definitely be cars out much more suited for event. Cars that have got some miles on them, and are sorted out. Not to mention the fact that any of the eligible drivers, might be in need some serious performance driving lessons before hand

I'd like to see your car out on the track come November though. I'm sure it could throw down with the best of them.

I'm with you, the driver would be my biggest handicap. I'm preparing for the event but I'll have to be sponsored. I guess they already have enough 1st gens. Imagine that. I'm getting on that track regardless. I really want to go to the driving school if my schedule allows it.

I was supposed to run another autocross tonight but it pissed all day up until about 2 pm. I looked at the forecast and they said 70 percent chance of rain about an hour before I had to leave. So I skipped the race since it was 45 minutes each way and I didn't want to destroy my clean car. Of course it didn't rain a drop. So I went out on a lonely desert road and just beat the piss out of my car. 0-60 0-100 130mph sprint 75-0 etc. Pretty sure I had more fun than the autocross would have been. That's the most fun I've had with my shorts on in a while.

I also added two loops to my vent hose and that seems to have fixed the discharge at close to full tank. I changed the squirters on the carb to the next smaller size and it's never run better. It's super crisp. Car is a flippin beast. It just plain rips.

Awesome Todd. That sounds like my type of hot rodding. Just go find a nice road and hammertime.

You should get one of those RaceLogic Performance Boxes (P-Box) and time your 0-60, 0-100, 60-130, etc. I got one and will get some numbers on the Camaro when it's done. I got it for the Porsche since everyone in the modded Porsche world compares their 60-130 times. It allow an apples to apples comparison and takes traction issues out of the equation like with a 0-60. I wanna see how some nicely modded musclecars compare to the quicker times for comparison.

It really is a cool little device. I got a slightly used one for about $400.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't know what to buy. Traction is really good now. I just have to ease into the throttle when I drop the clutch in first and it's good to go. I only overspun the tires once launching. I'll put that cool device on the list.
