Yeah, Regular is still at $2.96 here, but give it a week and we may never see it again.

This thread really rattled some of my memory marbles!

At 56 (as of August 30th) I'm forgetting more and more by the day... in fact... what were we talking about?? Oh yeah... LOL

I stopped at a "computer store" next to where my wife was shopping - they had all manor of very high tech build it yourself 'stuff'... (Check out the ANTEC brand "frame" instead of a box...) and we got to talking about how much we USED to pay for computers and printers -- like 4 GRAND for a laptop... and 4 Grand for "laser printers" etc... and then I mentioned the 1200 baud modem I had - neat little box with all manor of blinking LEDS and way kool dial tones it made while connecting... and the guy says "Man!! You had the fast one!!!"

The way he said it - I almost wet myself laughing so hard.

1. Playing video games at an arcade
Status: On life support
Once a favorite activity of geeks worldwide, going to the arcade to play video games began fading away in the mid-1990s, just as going to the arcade to play pinball had done a decade before.

^^^^Owns a full size original Galaga and my 3 YO daughter gets better at it by the day.

I about fell out of my chair.

A couple months ago, one of the older admins was asked by her boss (nearing retirement age) for a way to transport some information from his work PC to his home PC. She came out and asked if anyone had a floppy disk. We all about fell over laughing. I asked if she wanted a 3 1/2" or 5 1/4". Than I asked if his PC even had a drive. Nope. CD/RW only. Shoulda seen the look when I mentioned a "thumb drive".
