Love the brakes!

Hey -- in the beginning of this post - your car is shown with some "tubs" on the ground in one of the pics ... then later on you show building your own... What happened to cause that?

Still love those Forgiatos! :>)

Nice.....do yourself a favor and make sure you don't have a brake pad knock back issue on the rear end. You will need a dial indicator and must remove the brake pads. I don't know if the issue has been resolved with the axle retainer that wilwood provides yet or not? Now is the time to deal with it if there is a problem.

I ended up going with the Morrison rear clip. With the new rails I wanted something that would butt up to the rails, cleaner look. I cant get that with the DSE tubs. Im also running a 345 rear tire. I need all the room I can get! The goal is to weld the new tubbs to the rails and grind smooth. Then finish them out and paint the underside the body color.

Are they specifically for a wilwood setup? I tweaked one of my wilwood retainers a hair. I ended up with a set of currie retainers that go all the way around the bearing. On mine you could see the bearing move away from the retaining clip with your bare eyes! I had over .020 on both sides. I was able to get it down to .005 and .006 with the currie plates. Do yourself a favor an measure it now while it's mocked up. Wilwood was working on a new design when I talked to them 2 months ago. The new design was shimmable.

Wow! Monster brakes!! Looking great Steve! I must have missed it, but what is the final color going to be?

Is the baby letting YOU sleep yet??
Just wait. Someday she will be changing your diapers and loosing sleep taking care of you. What goes around comes around.

I understand about the color thing. I am bouncing around a little too. But there is a lot to do before that needs to be decided.

That wheel looks great on there!
