Which starter motor for BBC?

I originally purchased a Powermaster mini-starter for my BBC for about $180 from Summit and I honestly wasn't too happy with it. Maybe I just got a bad one or something. Sometimes it simply wouldn't engage and would clash on the flywheel(no matter how I shimmed it) and it also didn't really turn the engine over so great. It would also not respond well at all to hot starts. I purchased one of Tilton's Superstarters for about $410(ugh!) because I didn't want to mess around any longer. It's embarassing and aggravating when your car won't start so I decided spending good money here might be a good idea. The Tilton has a higher torque rating and supposedly is made of materials that don't soak heat as much. I went ahead and wrapped it with a heat shield just to be sure. The Tilton has performed perfectly so far. Starts up the engine immediately, never crashes on the flywheel(no shimming needed), and is absolutely unaffected by heat.

I have a Hitachi starter on my 512 BB Chevy in my 68 conv and it works great. I don't remember the cost....

I was just about to purchase one of the powermaster starters, but now i may rethink that as per the feedback above.
