Maybe....but how many people put those 20 dollar Mr. Gasket chrome valve covers on 350's. I talked to the land owner again today. He called and said he's still waiting on the owner to call. I now have some of the story of the car.

Apparently a couple bought a home in San Diego and the car was left behind in the garage. Supposedly it had been sitting for 20 years in the garage. They sent it to the land owner after he had done an extensive restoration on a 55 Chevy. They then decided they just didn't want to dump the money into the car to restore it. They then gave it to the current owner which is an employee of the previous owner. The current owner and his wife were out on the ranch 2 months ago and he didn't feel the love. He also said he fired it up one day and it ran ok. If the deals right, I'll take a motorcycle ride down on a day off and look it over really well. Get all the numbers and a ton of photos. If it checks out, I'll clean it up and make it run. Then it's down the road or in storage and we'll just call it a CD.

SS350's came with chrome valve covers, the chrome air cleaner lid and the chrome oil filler cap. Haven't seen one with the smog pump in years. You can see in one of the pictures it does have the ss hood - bracing and hole for the ornament are visible from the bottom. A 67 that original looking should be easy to decode.
