I was thinking about bigger wheels and I know it would help the handling, but i really like the old school lokk of the mehelich's. Its rare that I even find somebody who knows what they are. But, if I did go big, I was thinkng set of ADR M sport wheels would look good. simliar to the pic I've included on my friends TA.
The 406 I getting pulled this winter for a rebuild. It has been kind of a nightmare. It is built to make about 600hp but for some reason wont make much more that 350 or so. I have a wierd vibration at only 2000 and 4000 rpm. I had a machine shop (not mine) tell me my vibration was from my fluid damper (external balance), which I found hard to believe. I replaced it anyway with a stock 400 balancer and the vibration got worse. The only thing left I thought it could be is the flywheel which is a hays 11" internal balance flywheel with a Fidanza external balance conversion plate. I thought the plate could be on backwards so I flipped it and started it up. still have a vibration. The only thing left to do is pull it and rebalance. any ideas?
I picked up a T56 for $100 yesterday. Its getting sent to Liberty's gear in Taylor, Mi next wednesday for rebuild and blueprint. Paul has done good work for me in the past.
Wheels I am considering:
