Makes me want to write bad checks!

Mark -- I notice you welded on some male fittings... I built some A/C lines out of SS - (bad idea by the way - all it did was AC the headers)... and I didn't think about welding them (TIG)... I braised them on with a special flux and SS filler... Have you ever done this? I'm asking only as a "plus or minus" type question - strength - ease - or?

I think you should do "classes" -- I'd sign up!

Greg,

The A/C lines coming out of the condenser are silver soldered. That's the way they are designed to go together. Strength and ease? Couldn't be any easier.

I wish I could do classes too!!! I could charge up the yen yang like Ron Covell's metal classes and be a millionaire in no time. Then I can just build my own cars.

Good to know -- I was hoping that was the right thing to do... as it seemed to work well for me. However... I'm a DB!

I've learned to be "more careful" with the flux! Not letting it get on the tubing above the fitting makes a nicer polish job... It's the little things you learn along the way...
