Sounds fun...but no time right now. We'll see.... I actually did two mid-engine Ultima style cars a few years back. They both came out pretty nice, considering they're not really my cup of tea.

Someone drew up a concept of a C5 Corvette with a shifted greenhouse and mid-engine setup. Didn't look as good as it sounded...I'm sure with some serious effort it could work though.

Well I do now!! Thanks for pointing that out Travis.

My apologies to Jason.

Since I can't draw anything without graph paper I really admire the artwork that Jason and Kris produce.

No Worries Tom. Thanks for clearing that up Travis.
I know what you're saying and that Mercedes was cool but it wasn't a musclecar in the sense that this car is and that's what we were after.
There's lots of "supercars" with motors in front and this car will do just fine in every sense.

Taking a classic American muscle car and morphing it into a mid-engine design using most of the mechanicals has already been done. It's called a Mosler, and is basically a mid-engined Corvette under a very pretty skin.

Some of our panels will fit stock Camaros, some won't. This car is built around a tube frame chassis.

We plan on opening a second composite shop sometime in 2006, to manufactire CF/Kevlar body parts for some race teams who have requested them, along with anyone else who would like some. Our main composite shop is too busy getting our cars completed to do anything else right now. We could certainly manufacture composite parts for stock Camaros if there was sufficient demand.

Any pricing zone? Target? Zip Code? Are you looking to come in at $10,000? $50,000? $100,000? For a roller? I only ask because I have been asked by a customer. Surely you have some target?

I know some of the info is probably proprietary and you don't want to share but I'm wondering two things about the bodies, since I work with composites for the space industry on a daily basis:

1: Resin infusion or prepreg?
2. Cured via autoclave or vacuum-only/oven?

The questions are process related more than anything else, as with the vehicle being tube framed I don't expect the body is seeing any structural loads except aerodynamic loading.

The renderings look fantastic, can't wait to see the final product. I would sell my car (less drivetrain) for one of those if the end product lives up to promises and expectations.
