Need help-Spring not seating

trying to understand the problem, if it "poped into place"
Or is it that the end of the spring is making it's way into a step in the frame? because those can vary, and the conical springs tend to have a smaller wire that can get cought in a small pocket, I would get correct conventional springs and shocks for the application.
