Default my GTO scares me

Just took the GTO out for a cruise. I havent had time to touch it since SEMA. the car is extremely loud and has a ton of torque, it just plain rips. Now, these tires I have aren't going to last long with this motor in front of them. Sorry for the poor punctuation, I was reading hot rod in third grade when we were learning about it. I am scared by the car's value and the fact I spent so much time on it. Ive got to do so suspension adjustment on the car,I will get it where I like it. I am going to go out and do the good guys autocross with the car soon here once it is dialed in. I need to finish a couple small items on the car, I didn't have time before SEMA.

I think it takes time to sort out a new build. I've been tinkering with mine for a few months now, it's improving but I'm still not happy with it. I'm sure not ready for my first autocross.

Look at Bad Penny and the One Lap Camaro. They have been sorting those cars for quite some time now, constantly improving them and they even have David Pozzi on their side.

It's surprising the differences you can make changing spring rates and adjusting shocks, coilover spring adjustments etc. It just takes time and a methodical approach.

My car has been 'done' for like 4yrs now and it STILL scares me. Even after almost 10k miles of driving. This winter, it's engine is getting refreshed and I may be getting a piggyback ECU controller, for MORE power 'under the curve'.

You'll get it done and better drive it out to Jeff's shop so we can see it. I helped assemble about 10 of those chassis when Jeff was first putting them out.
