Todays Tip:

Don't EVER send your wife to Home Depot for "black caulk, the biggest one they have".

Apparently, my wife doesn't have the same sense of humor as I do.

In the Army and we'd send the new guy over to the motorpool for some infrared tape. Was in Autozone and a local ricer asked for 1" I.D. fuel line for his Honda.

Ok, just tonight my wife Cassie asks me about some white pipes that happened to be in the backdrop of one of our kids pictures---she asked the following;

"Hey Hon, aren't those the PCP pipes we own? The kids really wanted to play with those" I told her, no, trust me, they will want to play with the PCP pipes when they get in High School most likely---she actually got it when I told her the white pipes were "PVC" ---not auto parts related, but I happened to be reading this thread when she said it.

the Keys to the airplane
bucket of prop wash

As a car audio installer, we would have the new guy call our other store to get back our 6x9 hole saw, but only if we gave back our wire stretcher.

Lets hear them?

Default More from the military...

Send the newbies out to get a bucket of "military bearing grease". And the Navy must think bigger than the Air Force....we'd send guys out for 50 YARDS of flight line.

In a cabinet shop the board stretcher is always a good one. Or while doing counter tops, the laminate stretcher. I had a new guy looking for 45 minutes one day for that one.

At Boeing we have a few good fun ones.....

Aluminum putty....we work on an all composite airplane.

The RAT (Ram Air Turbine), which is used to power systems in the event the engines both fail, is a big propeller that springs down under the belly to power a generator and hydraulic pump. We get new guys thinking it's an outboard motor in case of water landings.

When a supplied fastener length is too short for the stack-up we're fastening, sending the new guy to the tool room for a bolt stretcher is always good for a laugh.
