A good friend and I have been buying, selling and building(or having them built) old cars for a few years. Here is our 69 that was recently completed. It started out as a pale yellow SS396 and now has a date coded, mild 427 with comp cams complete valvetrain(cam, lifters, timing chain, beehive springs etc..)rpm air gap intake,850 holley mechanical carb, hooker supercomp headers, spintech custom built side exit mufflers,a street turbo 400 with a redneck performance 3400 converter going back to a 12 bolt 4:11 geared rear.It is lowered with 2" drop spindles with stock bb springs up front and 1.5" blocks in the rear with stock leaf springs(it rides like a stock big block) and disc brakes all the way around.(i wish i had gone bigger on the brakes)I built it as a Baldwin/Motion "tribute"/pro touring/custom.A good friend (Matt Parker, okc) did the paint, interior was done by a local shop(Upholstery Unlimited,Okc),brakes, suspension, wiring and final touches were done by (Chuck Seightsinger)Alternative Motorsports in Okc,Ok.it gets driven regularly,1900 miles in the past year.We didnt have it torn down to the subframe and do a nut and bolt build,it was done on a budget and built to be driven and driven like a 427 car should be driven.its not a trailor only car or a show car(in my opinion) but it has won a couple shows and i have put a frown on a few late model cobras, porsche turbo's,ls1 cars and pesky imports.its not the quickest streetcar but it is a ton of fun and turns heads.
