Of course they're watching. There are three members of this board (That I know of, could be more) that work for GM.

No market buzz, no hype; someone stole the pics and distributed them around the web IMO.

I really hope this car is an amazing piece. Truthfully, I have NEVER purchased a brand new car. I have always been the type to buy a beater and put a ton of cash in either my house or a nice old car. I have told myself that when my firebird is done, I will purchase my first new car. I was leaning towards a Mustang or Vette, but I really want a Camaro. I wont 'settle', but I hope it is something to behold.

Apparently the Mustang guys don't share the same viewpoint on the issue, as it is still visible in their forum. I guess we couldn't expect them to comply with GM. They're on the 'dark' side...
