In honor of my automotive idol, my dog's name is "Foose". It's also fun to yell out "The Foose is loose!!!!!" when he escapes from his leash.

I probably couldn't live without having dogs around. Congratulations on you're new puppy!

They say not to name a dog with anything that rhymes with "no" or other commands as it's said to confuse them. So I'm saying no to Tiago.

I'm going to also suggest Rocky as he was a boxer too. (kind of)

Edit: The brindle coat is great.

Yea I don't know how you would find one in the states and get him across, not sure how that works. Have you not found any Boxer breeders in Canada?

Well if you are in the market, man I just spent a ton of time searching and sending emails to all kinds of breeders so if you want leads I have them. There is a litter that is only a week old up in Truckee I almost held out for if I had not found this guy. This breeder I found our dog from has more. Feel free to let me know if you want help .

I found several in Canada but nothing in BC, I still have my female Rotti, so I will wait for a bit. Not really fair to her to replace her brother that quickly.

Here is a bit of wacky advice that I received when we brought our pup home.
I tried it and I firmly believe that it really works.....

Dogs are pack animals.
All pack animals have an Alpha Male in their pack.
This dog runs the pack and is in charge.

Most dogs exhibit poor behavior because the owner allows the dog to believe that they are the Alpha male.

So here is the advice..
The Alpha male in packs always eats first.
Thereby leaving his scent on the food..
When he is done eating he then he "allows" the the rest of the pack to eat..

So everytime you put food in the dogs dish spit on the food.
This leaves your scent as the alpha male on the food.
Your dog will then be conditioned to understand that you are the alpha male.

Along with this one should also at all times make sure that the dog knows who is boss. Allowing them to "get away" with undesired behavior will
undermine your alpha make status..

Scott

p.s. Keep an eye on your wife to make sure that she does not start spitting on your food

Named him Brutus and had a tag made Sat. AM, we got home from the pet store and of course the tag was missing so now my wife said its a sign we shouldn't name him Brutus. It was one of my daughters that lost it and now can't find it .

I will post some pics later when I pull them off the camera.

Nice looking boxers. If i didn't have 3 kids I would have more than 1 boxer for sure .

Here is a picture of the pup that we have available:

Thanks to Scorpner for alerting me to this thread!

Todd

That is a great looking puppy. I would check that out if you are looking

How about a Boxer rescue? Rescued dogs make great pets. Both of my pitbulls were saved and they are great with my 7 and 3 year old niece and nephew when they visit me! Just my .02 cents.
