You need to contact chad@fletcherscustoms or Ty they can tell you how and where to get the goods for second gen bird. several sponsors on here supply parts for those..
ya not lookin too good for body panels. quarter panels for 2nd gen birds seem impossible to come across..
what im doing is weighing out my options on what car to buy. this kinda narrowed it down unfortunately. here are some options of mine tell me what you guys think.
-1st gen camaro
-kinda undecided about 2nd gen camaro
-corvette (67-73)
- Chevelle
2nd gen (70-76) is really pretty tough for the body panel parts side of things currently..... That said I've heard that Dynacorn is about to produce many of the panels in question...
For the clientele looking for extra strength and major weight savings , "Carbon Kustoms" will be Manufacturing and retailing exclusively through "Anvil Auto" Carbon Composite panels this summer for 1970-73 Hoods, shakers, fenders, spoilers and doors in addition to the already available Anvil front bumper, lower valence, rear deck lid, dutch panel and center section of the rear spoiler..... The only major exterior body panel pieces that won't be produced are the tail panel (which is Dynacorns next peice in production from what I understand) and the rear quarters...
We considered the molds for production of rear quarters in Carbon Composites but feared the possible (and presumed) resistance from the market place to bonding/gluing the seem to the metal surrounding panels. While the bonding agent is stronger than the surrounding panels of steel,,,, most people we spoke to kind of agreed quarters are interrupted as a steel part only (which is really to bad )...
We will be continuing with producing molds and update the product line though-out the summer to include 1977 front bumpers, 1979 front bumpers, 1977-81 hoods and the related shaker and spoilers....
