When you were asking about the vega, it sounded kinda like what I had years ago and I thought that it might be a cool and lightweight little G-machine. But this second gen Camaro will be ALOT better! The car looks great, greatlines and it will be a build that will be very interesting. Just dont turn it into a 100 thousand dollar showcar and you will be fine. I liken it to less is more. And you will capture everyones interest! Plus it will be a blast to drive! Im gonna follow this build like a hawk Jody. Lokss like its going to be a great build, and a great car!

thanks Tony. It won't be a 6 figure car, 'cause I can't afford one right now................ It'll be fun to put together a car most guys can afford to build, that will still be competitive at the track and the local cruise. I'll keep track of all expenses and show everything I do, so it can be duplicated by anyone.

I am really excited about this build. And that you are going to keep track of and post costs. I am shooting for the same kind of thing. Good looks, performance and a lot of fun. Like Tony said, going to follow like a hawk.

Do you have the car in your possession yet? Any pics of "off the truck" condition?

But your change of plans is cool considering the majority of us here are bias towards ......ANY CAMARO, nice project and budget Jody
I think Jeff Schwartz is working on a LS powered Vega right now. Just a FYI, sorry for the hi jack Jody.

I think the Vega would be very cool. But the cost to build the Vega vs building this second Gen would be a toss up. And there's no comparison in value when the cars were done, the second gen would be worth at least twice what the Vega would be. Unfortunately, that was a factor in my decision.

"Budget" and "Camaro", two words I really like and identify with .

Jody, when you say the rear is a quadra link style, does that mean a 4 link with a panhard bar on it? Sounds like it was a custom rear suspension setup ---
Looking forward to the pics and the build. I wish you great success in your endevors in forming an alliance with Anvil and will hope to someday be able to do the same .

Doug
