None taken at all. I was more or less making a general post to anyone looking at having a rendering done, not specifically you. Maybe I should have cleared that up to start my post.

I knew exactly what you were looking for but I've noticed that as soon as these rendering threads get started, similar questions get asked. It's an opportunity for me to try and clear things up for people who are just starting the process.

Read the link that Mike posted, written by one of my personal inspirations .... and then read it again .... and then visit my website. hehehe! Just a little bit more perspective; I am a relative new guy (although I have no idea when I'm going to stop calling myself that because the guys I look up to will always have 20 or 30 or 40 years more experience than me and I will always be inspired by their work). And there are lots of new guys and everybody is looking to start somewhere. All of the other guys and gals I've come into this business with are car people who can produce results, who turn wrenches, and know cars. As an example and to stick with the link, Brian knows his stuff, better than I EVER will and that is what you get when you hire him. He's an amazing artist, knows his business, knows his subject and has been there and done that. That's the whole package. I guess the only reason I'm being redundant is so that you hear these words from a designer who has an education in design and considers himself a new guy. I'd count only about the last 5 years of my work true experience in this hobby. I think this is why Brian started his article with; Pick a Style you LIKE! and a designer you get along with. Talk to us and get the product YOU are looking for ... money will come second.

This is what my quick stuff looks like. I rough out a line drawing for 10 bucks. I use this line drawing to produce color sketches. Each color sketch is 20$. What you see here is 50 Dollars. Renderings are a lot higher (400$) due to time. These can take 20-40 minutes, Renderings take 10-20 Hours lol

PM Me if you're interested.

Great post Ben...I'll chime in here and say its all about preference and style of rendering you prefer.

Check out all the artists available make calls and emails get as much info as possible and make a decision from there.

Pricing again ranges from $50 to $2500 depending on amount of views etc...

Thanks you all for answering. Alot of great info and artist.

I've narrowed it down between 2 cars. Soon as I pull the trigger, I'll be caling yall.

The two cars in question are a 79 Z28 and a 81 Z28. I know they're not that different, But they real are. The 80-81 side vent change the whole look of the side of the car. Their cowl induction hood also changes the front view alot compared to the 78-79 tear drop. Just lil things I know but its the lil things that make you stand out.

Thanks Jamie

Default Have you found an artist yet ?

I'll do it for $160. I don't mind charging good money from a company but for individuals I charge reasonably for the chance to take on the challenge.
