Default what's up everyone?!?!

Hey everyone, I'm Rene (Pronounced rainey). I'm new to this site, but I've been over at a similar site that a bunch of you probably already belong to, pro-touring.com. I'm working on a 1968 firebird that I've owned since 2001. original 6 banger with powerglide, previous owner put in a small block chevy and a th350. I drove it to shows and cruise nights for a while the way I took it home, but then decided back in 2005 that I was gonna take her off the road and start doing some mods. Well I put it in the garage on jackstands that year, started taking the front suspension off, then my daughter was born, then almost 2 years later, my son was born, so the car took a back seat. About a month ago I decided to start working on the car again. This is the first time I've ever pulled this many parts off a car, so needless to say I'm learning as I go. Its not a frame off resto or anything like that, my wallet won't allow that, but I try to get the best I can afford. I'll post my progress in the project updates section, but this is what the car looked like before its hibernation in the garage. I'll be posting quite frequently in the project updates, or at least I hope to. Glad to have found another awesome and motivational forum!!!!

Welcome Rene from RAINY Washington...

It's never about wallet size on this site... it's about desire and compatibility... friendship... helping one another. The pro's here are more than willing to help those of us with less skill and $$...

Now... get out there and get that 2nd and 3rd full time job -- 'cause you'll need it after seeing all the kool stuff that guys do on here!!

Well said.

Welcome to craziness Rene. There are plenty of good people here, just like at PT that are always willing to give advice and lend a hand. It's always fun to watch a project be built. So, start a thread and post some pictures so we can all enjoy the fun with you and point the finger and laugh when you mess up. lol
