Since your rearend housing is bare, and out of the car...that is a great opportunity to get the housing really clean...are you SURE that there aren't any blasting services around?

POR-15 is also really good stuff, they now make it in a satin black. nearly indestructible finish, when properly applied.
Yeah, I've checked around and the only place near by is sooo busy and expensive its not worth going to for a small part like this.... I bought that Safestrustremover.com stuff yesterday so I'll see how it does and post the results... I do plan to spray a good epoxy prime to fill any rust pits, and then POR 15 the thing in Semi... Should look nice when finished..
