This car is getting ridiculous! If you keep fabing stuff for it, you’re going to have to enter it for the Ridler. Greta work, keep it up.

Jason Awesome work. I love the idea of moving the Hydraboost and clutch master back like that It will be a lot less cluttered in that area. This build is amazing.

Default The ratio

that everyone tries to shoot for on the clutch is 6:1, which I think is the factory ratio. I personally have mine about 4.5:1 as I like a quick clutch. It is a little tough to get use to on the starts, but you can really bang the gears once you get rolling.

I noticed you are using the Mcleod master. If I am not mistaken it is a 1 inch bore instead of the Gm 7/8's bore. Make sure you speak with the clutch manufacturer about that. I had one of those and I could not use it with my Textralia clutch as the extra flow would invert pressure plate fingers. Obviously if you are going with Mcleod it will work fine. You probably knew this but a heads up just incase.

Really an outstanding car you have going. I would scuff it and shoot clear on it. I would had to cover all of that fantastic work!

1 Question did you make the steering wheel drop down bracket from a Garden shovel? Just curious....

Well Sorry my wife hired him as a handyman around the house months ago, Plus he has all the tools he needs on his belt.

Payton,

The GM is 3/4" bore Mcleod is 13/16" Tick performance sells an 4th gen F body upgrade with a tilton 7/8" bore. I fabricated a custom mount and used a tilton 7/8" master. I have only driven the car a few miles with the new setup, one thing I notice getting into reverse is much easier.



Jason,

I would not worry about ratio on the clutch, you have the opportunity to set it up to your liking. Personally I would ditch the Mcleod, I chased an intermittent problem with mine even after a rebuild, use a tilton, they are quality units.
