Default Killer 69 AMC Javelin....

I was just cruising Craigslist and bumped into this.

I've seen a few of these done the PT way - they make a wicked looking ride.

I'd love to see this one get snapped up and be done right.

If there are any other nonconformists out there I would encourage you to jump on one of these, owning one is great. I wouldn’t trade my old rambler for anything.

If you want to be like everyone else this type of thing is not for you.
The front suspension on the pre-70 AMC’s is a bit odd, but can be made to work. As with anything else another option is just graft in something newer with the help of the products from folks like coolwelder62 builds just like you would do with many other cars, obviously not plug and play like some of the other pony cars.
Admittedly some parts are a bit of a pain to find, but when found the price is usually inexpensive. I would encourage anyone looking at doing an AMC to also keep it powered by an AMC engine, as the AMC 390/401 have all forged internals and are as good or better than any other same era options, but a bit more expensive. The smaller 360, 343, 304, 290 group are externally the same and a nice piece but limited by cast internals.

Cheers,
Mike
