Default LT1 swap progress pictures

This is fun making visible progress ...this needs to be a whole car and driveable by May 20th.

Looks good, what kind of tranny did you go with? Stock LT1 or modded?

The whole LT1/4L60 setup is stock internally. It came out of a '95 Caprice state-patrol car that was totalled with 21k miles on new engine and transmission. (trans had a goodwrench sticker on it... engine is probably goodwrench also)

I'm sure the transmission will need to come out again for repairs in a couple years, but I figured with stock heads/cam on the engine, it will hold up for a while. If I can afford it, at that time, I may stick a 6-speed in

What headers are you running? Are they D-port or round port. I bought a set of the Headman d-port shorties but have not installed them yet. Any info would be appreciated.

I guess they'd be considered round-port? or whatever is conventional small-block. They aren't D-port like the stock LT1 manifolds.
