Default wheel/tire combo for 69 Camaro

My friend is restoring his 69 Camaro. He wants to run a 17" wheel. What he wants to know is what biggest sizes will fit in the stock wheels wells? He said he would like to run at least a 275 in the rear if possible.

so, wheels size, BS, and offset info please...

No problem.

Fronts: 17x8, 4.75" of BS, 245/45
Rear: 17x9.5, 5.5" of BS, 275/40

Of course, we'll need to see pictures of that 69.

it has been in his family since the late 70's. It has been sitting since the mid 90's. He is painting it Cortez Silver, black hockey stick stipe and black vinyl top.
He mentioned TT2's for it. I suggested the Chrome 17 Cragar S/S for the retro look, but yet modern.

Do the wheel lips need rolled for the 275 in the rear?
