On the stock sub, is the reason for moving to the rack to get the outer tie rod ends away from the wheel? Wondering if you have to switch to different steering arms when you go to the rack. My outers are very close to my wheels (19 x 8's) now, no way I could go wider unless I was able to gain clearance by going up with the outer tie rod ends (shorter steering arms on the spindles) which would put them inside the wheel (from the back side of course). These are Speedtech (ATS) Spindles which have, I believe, a one inch drop or more drop. I'm planning on the Speedtech Sub myself since I have all their stuff for the front now and it works absolutely amazing. I just want to get a bigger tire under there at some point. Just wondering if I could get by for now with a rack in order to stuff a larger tire under it.

You could get a rack now, but it would not fit our sub....

Tim, my wallet thanks you. I'll just hold off until I get your subframe---planning to install it when the new motor goes in the car----and the hits just keep on coming.

After all this time I am still on the fence. On

1) Speed tech road assault package with AFX Spindles. 2,800.00 with stock subframe.

What is the wides wheel and tire combo I can fit for 69 camaro

or 2). Complete subframe with spindles. 5,800.00.

The first choice leaves room for wheels tires brakes. Roller.

the steering that are used with the Unisteer Rack are very short, and do provide room for wheels. my Nova has 18x9.5 with 6.5 BS wheels and no issues, even with the drop which by the way is 7/8 of an inch ove the stock spindle.
