Sorry to hear about your health issues. I had a couple of surgeries about 6 months ago and lost 30 lbs. Sure is hell dealing with pain.

That little car of yours looks like it's fun as hell to drive. Have fun!! Lookin' forward to seeing you at Buttonwillow.

Saweeeeet. Ok so what are your impressions of that motor in that/any car? Reason I ask is were thinking seriously about an 06 R1 midmounted in a 74 Beetle, thats as stripped as we can get it. Does that transmission range work farily well on the street in a car? What kind of fuel tank did you end up running to deal with the high pressure efi?
Thanks and Man that car is awesome!!

Thanks! Insanely fun and scary. But it CAN be driven tamely. It just involves a LOT of shifting

The motor makes entirely too much power for the mini. I'd say 120hp is max for a FWD mini. I'd rethink a beetle with a bike engine. There are simply too many cheap and efficient ways to get a bug fast. 2180 with dual webbers is plenty fast I assure you. A bike engine would just be obnoxiously loud and a pain in the ass. For fuel I ran the stock SPI mini fuel tank with a bosch external pump and a return line. Fuel gauge isn't accurate but who cares...

I needed a horn, so I figured why not put a truck horn in

I think I might put another one in the other wheel well. Overall great horns though.

In other news the Motorola droid 2 carmount allows the droid 2 to take video while mounted in a car. Sadly the microphone clips like a mofo....
