Yeah that is a hell of a walk thru all the cars and the vendor booths and then to the autocross. It was a great day since I had a chance to go with my oldest brother who's opinion matters most when it comes to cars and who needed to understand the Pro Touring movement. I have to say how much I love the ound of a old school big block. How sweet that was!!!!!

Well it sounds like everyone had a good time. I have to say its hard for us to be a vendor with a booth and run the autoX at the opposite sides of the event. I'm not a big guy like DSE or Ridetech and I can't pull my guys out of the shop for a show 20 hours away or have a big sales staff. We build cars. I have to be at the shows on Wednesday to set up and won't be back to the shop until late Monday or Tuesday. I have one employee that understands, a truck driver that helps out, and myself on the road. The ride alongs on the autoX are hard too. While we are waiting to run, which seems to be once an hour or so, I may have at least 5 people ask to ride in the car. Sometimes the first person is there sometimes not when its time to run. The one thing I want is for people to have a good time along with myself thats why I do it. But Goodguys needs and are listening to us vendors to make it better for us all. Its hard for me to get focused to run the car, find the person who wants the ride and keep track of who it was in the short amount of time, get them in seat belts and ready to role. I rode someone every time I ran the last two days and I'm sorry if I skipped someone or didn't talk to someone at the trailer. Its hard and I'm new and tryn to figure it out!!!!

Hey "RPM", (sorry don't know your name) I personally want to thank you for ALLOWING anyone to ride along with you. The same thing goes for every vendor, every regular guy and girl there and granted when I spoke in my post of being irritated about not getting a ride, it wasn't directed towards anyone in particular. I purposely didn't mention the vendor and I hope noone took my words personally. The excitement of being a passenger in one of those awesome machines that you guys build ended flatly in disappointment BUT... there's always next year. I will personally admit I super jealous of each and every one of you out there blasting around the track whether you built it on a budget or are finishing up R&D on a new product. Thank YOU for for the excitement of it all!

had a blast, and got home just a couple hours ago. We debuted project "Phoenix" in the Optima booth this weekend. Although it was not quite done and worked like dogs for the last 2 days straight to get it there, we had fun. We will be back in the spring with the car done along with a few upgrades scheduled to be installed this winter.

I was there on Friday and wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Each time I came by you where covered up or at the track. The camaro looks pretty good going thru the cones too. Maybe next year I can get out earlier in the morning.

I just wish there were more hours in the day. That goes at the shop too. Anything you guys need stop by. See us in the spring. We'll be back & faster with some new cars next year!!! But make sure you see us, I'll make sure you get your rides. My name is Curt & Fritz is usually the poor guy hanging out at the trailer wishing he could get out & see whats going on at the show. The Camaro works really good, The big block makes us a little heavy in the front. But makes it a fun time cause you have to drive it with the rear tires too.

I agree about there needing to be more hours. I didn't want to be one of those guys riding the scooter things that were EVERYWHERE (micro rant) but after so much walking/talking it was time to call it a day.

You guys don't be afraid of building those early (64/65) Chevelles. Hahaha. I don't think I saw more than 3 in the whole show.

We are too, it was great meeting everyone. Man your area has our style cars and trucks. Top notch stuff. Now we are bouncing down the road to a customer in Alabama then off to DSE to pick up some parts for a project then home. Just hope to make it home sometime Tuesday to see the family and get back into the shop!!!!
