4th gen camaro console in 69 camaro

i am putting a 4th gen console in my 69 camaro...it is an automatic console..i have seen a few people do this and have still used the 4th gen automatic shifter..has anyone seen a b&m shifter that is used.....i know i would have to cut the console lid a little to have a big enough opening for the shifter...any advice..i was looking at going with the b&m quicksilver....
