PTFE/Teflon Lined fuel hose

I have also researched several of the teflon hoses. One thing I am not quite clear on is the different types of inner teflon hose, that is, carbon impregnated vs. non. The hose with an inner black lining is carbon impregnated and recommended for fuel use because it will discharge any build up of electricity. I realize it is recommended but a lot of people use the white hose with no problem, I believe..........????

Anybody with experience here?
