Default Picked up a TR7 with 3.8 Turbo now what?

Hey everyone in a moment of weakness I picked up a 1980 TR7 convertible. It has a 1987 Grand National drive train in it and is a solid little car. I want to sort it out as best I can and have some fun on the cheap next summer.
I want to inspect the work already done to the car and then start to fine tune it for handling and braking. I was thinking it needs to be lowered and would like to add some sort of a roll bar or cage in it for safety. It has the GN rear end and the front suspension has been modified to take 3rd gen F body hubs and brakes somehow but kept the TR7 rack and pinion steering set up. I will look at that in depth before I start driving it. I see in the receipts with the car that they bought some adaptors for it and welded them in but not sure about what all was done. If anyone has any input on what would be the best path to start down to get it turning and stopping well please chime in.
Steve

Had a friend with one of these in high school. Buick V6 (not a turbo) and was a blast. Wet on ramp and the back end got lose and waded it up. It was fun for about 3 weeks!
