Default New from Missouri...

Hey guys just thought i would take a second to introduce myself.

My name is Quentin, I am a 26 art director for an ad agency in springfield mo.

When I was 16 I built a 1932 ford roadster pictured below.

Daily driver is a 2004 pontiac GTO. Not a whole lot done to it just enough to turn some heads when driving around town.

Currently looking for my next build. I want it to be a G-Machine. Definitely want something unique. Looking forward to being on here.

Thanks

I'm looking for ground up project. I like the idea of doing a Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle or Nova as aftermarket parts are so readily available. On the other hand though I want something that is a little bit different than those said cars. As I would really love to have a non-LS based motor in this project. Hoping to get a lot of good ideas from here.

Welcome! Both Roadster & LS1 GTO are nice!

What motor would you use if you started a P-T project?

Thank you for compliments on both the roadster and the GTO. They are my babies.

As for the motor options it all really depends on what the car is. Yesterday I went and looked at a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door post. If I were to go with that I was doing some research on the 6.8L V10 3-valve motor out of a Ford Super Duty. Just day dreaming at the moment though.

If I were to do a gm project I don't know what I would go with. I know that Street and Performance can get me a LT5 ZR1 motor.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the ls1 in the GTO. And love the capabilities with that motor. Just really want some thing just a hair different.

First I need to find the right car to pick the motor. The only really for certain thing that I know is that this motor must be fuel injected. The 32 was carbureted and it was just very touchy. Now it has gone fuel injected and it is a completely different running and driving car.
