Rides was the best. I also like Dream Car Garage, but speed dropped that.

Every car TV show on now sucks.
I really enjoyed Dream car Garage. That show had real good Tech.Alot of the rides shows were also real good.Maybe speed TV go to some of great car web sites and see what there veiwing public want's to see.

Two Guys Garage and Stacy's Gearz aren't too bad. I can usually pick up a few techniques or tricks from those shows, so there not a total waste.
Stacy's tricks like Malox for anti-seize are entertaining. The guy on 2-Guys can definitely handle MIG and TIG.

For the most part the new generation of shows are not for enthusiast, they are just dumbing down America one episode at a time.

Mike nailed it here, the problem with shows like this is the average guy watches and then tries to bring his car into the shop and get it done in an insane amount of time and for a 1/3 of the money. The old saying goes you get what you pay for and if you are paying for time and quality you can’t cut the corners.

Think of it like this:

Fast, Good And Cheap

Fast, Good and Cheap represent three aspects of a project – the timeline, the quality and the budget. Depending on the situation they are sometimes fall into requirements or even constraints. The fact is that usually these three are combined by the “Tyranny of OR”. One can choose either

•fast and good OR
•good and cheap OR
•fast and cheap

The option of all three is not considered to be practical.

The Triangle

I have been able to represent this the best by setting them at three different points of a triangle. You can choose any one side of the triangle. These three points can also be considered to be different costs of the project. You can ignore the one that you can afford to. In reality, no one can afford any cost, it is either a compromise or an investment, depending on how you look at it.
