Default Dodge Viper Engine

my nova is almost done and meant to be driven this year ....

so i am thinking about some quick side project. now, i have a complete dodge viper 8.0 L with a 6 speed laying around in my garage.

i have the two computers as well that are mounted on the right side of the vipers engine bay. but the car was wrecked and we mostly cut the wiring.

does anyone know where to get a basic wiring for that engine ? the ENGINE wiring is complete, the big plug where the CAR wiring hooks up to is there, just everything that was connected to that plug (coming from the car) is gone ....

thanks.

I have same kind of problem going on.

Only thing what I have found is that buy shopmanuals from Ebay.

Nobody is telling anything about viper engines cos is still playd by a small group of people and they usually have dollars to pay and let somebody else do the job.

I did ask around in viperalley about modifications and problems (oiling, spining rodbearings) of these engines, and soon I was asked nicely to go away

Default news

i am a small step further ...

hotwire offered me a complete harness for 806 bucks. i just need to send in the original one as they need some plugs of it.

the computer needs to be send to dcperformance to check if there is a security funtion that needs to be modified.

sounds good to me .... not exactly cheap, but at least a good way to do it.

moparperformance offers smth too but i dont know if that works with the stock computer.

i just see you are from finland, not too far away from me. if you are interested in the viper engine incl trans incl frame with papers or if you have someone for it let me know.

i would cancel the whole project if i find a buyer for that stuff.

Jep, here I am, in really cold Scandinavia.

What kind of project you got?

Thanks, I dont need one cos I have a new gen 3 engine. I do need a trans but not gonna use stock one cos I'm gonna turbocharged mine.

You dont need to go with stock computer if you dont really need to run with it.

I just got info that meqasquit has release an code for 10 cyl seqvental injection so I'll using that, first was going to buy a Pectel (2000£ 0%tax) but this way get it much cheaper. And all the bells and whistle that I'll need to run it on the streets.

What year/gen is yours and what are you asking for it...

I can put a word around.

the stock trans still might work great, my personal viper is supercharged and running great with the same trans with dyno proven 600 horses.

i am only asking 2500 euro with clutch and bellhousing which i think is a great price for europe. only 25,000 miles on it.

my project is almost done being a 1972 chevy nova protourer. since i have a wrecked viper next to my personal one, i just thought of putting the viper engine in somewhere ....

viper engine sells for 5500 euro incl alternator etc.

welcome to the site. What you need to do is put an ad in the wanted section. Also get hold of Pick a Part as he has these for sale from time to time. He's listed on the left side of this page, or go look through the parts for sale ads and you'll see his listings.
