Default 1968 camaro 18x10 backspacing

Will have it mini tubed but got a good deal on a 18x10 rear wheels. Have air ride and need them to tuck. What backspacing should I have?

Wouldn't that depend on your rearend width?

(not that one, the one under your car)

We're going to need the pros to jump in here. I'm gonna say between 5 and 5.5" but you really should get a dead on measurement.

5-5.5" would be ideal for a 9 with a 275mm tire in a stock wheelwell so add at least an inch to that to fit the additional inch of wheel and maybe a hair more to handle some extra tire width and sidewall bulge for the larger tire and the tuck the Ride-Tech will provide. And since these are 45 year old subframe cars made on multiple assembly lines that you're now modifying, it's a good idea to take a few measurements beforehand.

I have a 19x10 w/275 tire on my 67. I'm about to pull them off to get the car cleaned up to sell, can give you some backspace measurements tomorrow if no one gets back to you before then.

Thank you. I have it all worked out, but I still would like to know yours. It looks like I would have to add 1-2 inchs of back spacing on yours because I would need them to tuck. Thanks

i know that for stock wheel wells, to fit an 18x10 with a 295 you need 5.75 inches back spacing. that's what i have on my car. since then i've mini-tubbed it, and now there is a ton of space between the inside of the wheel and the tub.

if you're mini-tubbed, then you can get away with 5.5 since the wheel tub isnt a limiting factor.
