In their defense... I forced them to let the car go before they had time to complete ANY shake down miles.... in my defense... The car was DUE May 1st for a planned trip on May 11th. If you (meaning ANYONE) work for me - regardless if it's a house remodel or a yard mowing job. A date is a date... and you'd better know that date is written and agreed upon for a reason. I do what I say I'm going to do... I expect the same in return. Super super simple.

I've built many many projects - 99% of them with my own hands... I've NEVER EVER had the issues this car had. EVER.

I did run out of gas once in the Nomad on the way to a GoodGuys show... after putting on the Imagine Injection 8 stack system. I had drained the tank and had added 5 gallons of fuel for tuning purposes. Got up early AM - washed the car - and proudly headed south... it burped and sputtered... and I'm running thru which wire that could be... and did I chafe one or burn something on the header etc... 'bout that time she just fell on her face. DOH! A tow truck is called... and after loading her up and strapping ourselves in the cab he says "so what happened?" As I'm explaining it - it dawns on me exactly what happened. I said - go down to the next exit and pull into that Chevron station. Filled up - backed the car off the rollback and hit the show. To this day - my "buddies" first question when we head out.... "YOU HAVE GAS"? I truly hate them...
How did that work out ?

so much... Seems that SS line got nice and frosty - problem is - it wasn't frosty by the time it got inside the compartment were I was.

Call it -- on the job training.

The motor has been pulled out of the '32 - which means the radiator and grill shell and on and on had to come out... just so we could.....

I'll argue ad infinitum if I think I'm right.... (is it an 8 second car if it ran an 8.99? Remember that thread?) LOL

BUT -- I'll freely admit when I'm wrong and will take action if required to make it right. YOU guys were right.

The painted heads should help to keep the attention on those awesome headers. I guess I don't mind them gray, but can see how it will make an improvement.

Jim had a good suggestion with the fuel pump block off plate. However, with the heads painted I'm starting wonder if it would stick out too much.

Painting the heads is the right choice. And it will help showcase the 8 stack!

BTW, I'm still waiting for my ride........

HA !!

I've been down that road many times. This is just a new form of peir pressure.

Man in high school it was drinking and now on the BB forums it's you gotta do this if you do that.

Heck Steve I saw your washer and I said "W0W" I gotta get me some of them.

It's like a dangling carrrot - it's just to hard to say no.
