Yesterday I finally found out how to have the new doorhandles operate the actual door-mechanism. I actually thought I had figured this out several months ago, but when I was about to go by that route and fabricate the stuff needed I realized that if I did it that way you would be able to open the door even though it was locked.

But then yesterday the solution finally emerged and I made it work. This means that one more corner-stone is carved since I now for the first time since I bought the car, can get in using functional door-handles.

Sorry to see that engine damage.
Thanks, I finally think I am on my way to actually have this car driving this year.

They are Rondell 58, they are used a lot on 5-series BMW's from the late 90's - early 2000's. These are 8.5x17 front and 10x17 rear.

It is not that much visual that has changed during the last week or so. This weekend was almost entirely spent on welding the tunnel, floor, subframe connectors etc. that until now had only been tack-welded. I spent the entire saturday and much of sunday only welding. But as it always happens when you cover good ground on a sunday - something either brakes or runs out - this time i ran out of wire for the MIG.

Then I could start to look at wirering for the LS1.

Gathered a bit of motivation on a racetrack in the neighbor-country Sweden last Wednesday. Of course I could not run either of my cars, so the bike had a go.

Nice bikes! Do you still have the 636? Oh yes it is really nice therapy, love riding bikes as well! Not always both wheels stays on the ground - but hey I always come home with a big smile on my face.
