Thanks for the compliments! It has been a lot of fun doing the suspension/fab work on Ron's car! I will PM you my cell right now.

Default Time for an update...

I’ve been off the radar for a while for a number of reasons, work, family, blah blah blah, but also because I just got back from a killer road trip. I flew to Indy for final assy on the car after paint and a day at Columbus GGuys. Day one (last Friday) in the shop was a killer. 14 hours of hot, humid assemble/polish (or vice versa), adjust, readjust, repeat. I freakin’ loved every minute of it. Saturday was a three hour drive up to Columbus and 7 hours hoofing around. I’ve been to Del Mar many times which is almost sensory overload and Columbus was beyond that. Cars, parts, displays everywhere! Walk past one venue area, turn the corner and there’s more to see. The Top 5 plus the Goosby Mustang were all just sick. Someone had said they’re all winners and I agree. Anyway, got to see all the vendors and bought a couple of goodies (Tremec would NOT let me talk them out of their T56 Maggie cut away display; something about it costing too much ), saw some great runs, rekindled old friendships and made new ones. That Mike Maier is a great guy and his car is bad a** as always, but his new motors is waaaaay over the top! He has set the AutoX bar for sure. Saturday night in Columbus is a cruising heaven. Early Sunday morning was back to Indy, power on finishing the car which took all day. At dusk, just as we we’re finishing snapping some pics Roger’s rig pulls into the shop so we load the car and all the parts up for the return trip home.

There’s a bunch more, but I think you guys get the idea…

I cannot thank Travis Engle and Specialty Paint Applications owner Steel Orton enough. These guys humped and pumped through the last 15 months and the car came out great. Steel is a true car guy and real craftsman. My car was not a Roadster Shop build, but Steel went way beyond what I contracted and paid for but stayed true to the vision and ensured I was satisfied. Travis was there every minute helping w final assembly and made sure to tell me when I was doing it wrong . (J/K of course!) These two are/will be friends for life and I know we’ll share many more adventures. I also want to give props to Roger for the help in making sure the car gets home safely. The driver called me while I was in the air yesterday and told me he is on schedule and the car is fine. Customer service at its finest!

LOL!!! Greg... one of those butts is mine, but what gives me the biggest grin about that pic is the butt on the far left! Thats my 3 Y.O. son Levi who I spoke of earlier in a previous post. This kid is going to be the biggest gear head ever! He is on my coat tail everywhere I go and will crawl up under a car with me no matter what ground surface there is or how dirty it is! Im not even joking at all. Maybe Ron will post another pic he has of Levi helping me take pics of the under carriage of the car...

Thx Marcus! So glad to have her home. Funny paint formula...smudges look brown, in the shade it looks dark charcoal and in the light gets really grey. I dig it tho!
