CA 1968 Firebid in excellent shape as in NO RUST!

Selling a 1968 Firebird in excellent shape inside and out.

1968 Firebird, teal color, seriously amazing solid body, original paint, original interior, absolutely no rust bucket here, no rust on floor pans, trunk, quarter panels, etc. minor dent blem on rear pass corner very light and not impacting the rear pannel. I was extremely picky when looking for this bird as my other bird was on paint jail for a while (long story but I thought it was a lost cause).

I have a 68 great running 400 engine for the car bought from a local Firebird guy in our club (he went with a 455), and have a couple transmission options, a Muncie 4 speed or a Turbo 400 also out of the car. The seats and interior are in excellent shape, even the dash pad has no cracks, has the original radio on the dash, etc etc.

I bought the bird as I wanted a solid car for my wife with pro-touring direction plans for the bird, and was about to start take it apart for paint when I ended up buying a vert 68 she prefers (well she thinks will be hers, we will see to that )

The car is complete and in northern CA, has a clean title, and I will try snapping some pictures.

A couple options to through on the table:

1- I am willing to sell the car without engine and tranny for $5000
2- Car with a tranny and engine (not installed) for $6500 choice of tranny
3- Car with engine and tranny installed and running for $7500

I am willing to help you load, etc to ship if needed.

The car will need:

1- headliner has a cut by the dome light so will need to be replaced
2- paint – the original paint is old and faded
3- dent repaired on rear corner
4- hood painted (I have a white 326 hood I will include)
5- install powertrain and add gas to the tank

Jeff, I loaded the pics on the link above, and correct, all interior is in place, no rips on seats, doors, etc. headliner has a rip on the dome light, depending on your plan you can fix and leave with or replace (I was planning to replace).

The paint was Meridian Turquoise with Meridian Turquoise upper body color.

The trim color and material were Dark Turquoise Vinyl.
This car has the Fisher Body Unit Number 177 built in the 4th week of March at the Van Nuys, California plant.

For all those interested and that have requested more pictures, I have been loading them on the Photobucket album.

Honestly this is a rust free car, trunk, floors, quarters, etc in excellent shape. I am seeing people paying more for Swiss cheese car where they basically tear up the rear quarters and floors completely, and I have been there with previous projects and will never go back.

I am asking what I paid for the car, so right now no room unless I start parting pieces off and I really do not want to do that. I figured someone can really enjoy building a car where tearing the body up is not part of their project focus, time and money.

As mentioned, anyone that is remote and has a friend in the area that would like to have an unbiased look and verify the car on their behalf I can definitely accommodate to show the car. I am part of a group on the SF Bay Area (Bay Area Firebirds), so if you know anyone on the club that can check the car for you that works for me as well.

For shipping quotes, I have used uship.com which is a free service that lets shipping companies bid for your shipment and normally saves between $400-600 or more compared to calling shipping companies directly. I have shipped a couple jeeps and parts this way without any issues.
