We received this 57 Caddy yesterday for us to build a custom Fast Track chassis.

Stainless steel roof panel

Suicide doors

Another cool feature is that there is no center pillar. Just a unique bracket that comes up with the two latches floating in the middle of the seat.

That Caddy should be a cool build. What are the plans for it besides the Fast Track chassis?

We just had a 57 caddy 2 door in the shop a few weeks ago and I was telling the guys how cool it would be to have a new chassis under it and a Northstar!

It's a bit open right now. I want to keep it relatively stock looking on the interior/exterior. I'm having copies of the original wheels made in slightly larger diameter.

Twin turbo LS is the logical choice to move this much car around but I'm not sure if it's "right".

I considered doing an STS-V supercharged northstar. Also maybe a 500ci LS with dual 4bbl throttle bodies and a fabricated batwing air cleaner so at a glance it looked somewhat stock.

I think the best engine would be a Falconer V12 but it's been done and it's a little pricey

Is this the same intmd8 that is envolved with speed Inc? If so, I really look forward to what you end up doing. I still watch your tt lt1 video from maxton.

Yes and thanks. Maxton was a good time, good thing the ol LT1 held together so I had a ride home.

All those engines sound awesome. But to me nothing says classic caddy like a BB 502 twin carb. Just this monster of an engine and all you hear when you hit the gas is tires squealing and carbs sucking air.

Thanks for the pics. Odd as it may seem, this car has been an obsession of mine for a very long time and I've always viewed it as -the- car I would want to own. I'm really looking forward to this project.
