can someone tell me if an ididit column from a 65 chevelle would fit in a 70 camaro. part # given was i1261

I would think not, but to make sure call Ididit. Also I did a search on their web site and they do not list a column for a second gen Camaro?? And the numbers you listed do not match what they have listed on their web site??

It wont fit, and they do make on for a second gen camaro.

Will it not physically fit or is it because the lack of a ignition switch in the column as i will use a remote start button in the dash.

Will not physically fit, of course you can make it work with a little hot rodding, but it makes an already difficult install already more difficult.
