I've always hidden mine up under the rear fender area and mounted to the frame (requires building a bracket etc). I can just reach up there and flip the switch (the standard rotating battery cut off switch). I always turn off the GROUND.

That doesn't help you if you want it visible for track events....

The best "Security" switch is just a small toggle up under the dash that kills the ground on your ignition switch.

PS: I always run a jumper across the battery cut off switch with a 5 amp fuse holder... that way all your electronic memory crap stays "on" but of course if someone tries to steal your car via the starter it won't carry the load. I agree with Todd that nice cars are stolen by pros and become unrecoverable in about a half hour.... but that is what lojack is for you should have that installed in any car worth owning. It works. Many times they just jack your whole trailer car and all... the pros are good at this stuff.
