So time for a long overdue update. Two days after I got the car home I had knee surgery. Sat on my a** for two weeks went back to the doc for a follow up and was told it needed a redo. WTF/whatever, it'll be fine when it's all healed up. Had it redone. I did try to use the time wisely planning and spending $$$ on parts. Sat on my duff for another two weeks till I couldn't stand it any more, so I had a buddy come over yesterday and we got the ZR1 hubs, wheels and front brakes on the car. I chased threads, barked out orders (nicely) and he was my legs while I sat in the rolling shop chair.

Really happy with the theme. The look of the black centered wheels/polished hoops really chages the car as I thought it would (+1 for the render). I also think the meats fill up the rear nicely. Can't focus on stance till I get some fab done and more weight in the car. I'm a week or two from getting it down to Cris and I'll get some more updates once he gets rollin'. Parts have been coming in and the motor build is almost done so I'll update that soon as well. Thx for the emails and PMs while I've been gimping it a home...
Your car is looking sick, Any up date's? I was going to ask about stance but I read your post, I feel like mine set's high right now, Im sure there is 1200lbs going back in, if not more.

Good luck on your car.

^ Hey Kirk! Thx for the props. The car is prepped and ready to head down to JCG as soon as Blue Balls is farily settled from the SEMA thrash. I've been collecting parts ($$$) and still have quite a bit to go once Cris and I make some final mock up decisions. The plan for Cris is to do a little fab, get some plumbing done and make sure the tranny tunnel/pinion angle work out.

The motor is getting buttoned up as we speak and I'll be posting some details and pics once it's done. Brent (Ovrkill) sure is a tough HP/bling act to follow, but my build goal was to try ad avoid some of the known weak links w the LS7s.

Stance....there's a tough one. I measured my front fender height but without weigth and settling it doesnt mean that much - rough guess It will come down ~ 1.5 - 2.5" in the front. Something looks funky w my springs so I may have to address that as well. Looking at yours, I think you'll want to come down that much too?

Good to hear about the progress despite the holding pattern. I know you must be anxious Ron. Looking forward to the next phase.
