Hey Jason,

This is going back a while I know but do you happen to know the year these latches are? Or better yet are they cable type for the door handles? If they are cable did you have any issues connecting the cable to the outer door handle? I am sure it would not be too hard to fab up an adapter (especially for you!) just checking.

Thanks!

Chris

Chris, There 08's so any of the last generation ones would be the same I would assume. They do have cables for the interior and exterior but also looks like they can be electrically driven. Not sure yet, just got the harness and getting into that now. Maybe someone on here works as a Lexus tech and would know. It's not hard to adapt to the stock handle.

Thanks Jason.

I figured fabbing up something to adapt the cables to the old style would not be too hard. I found that the Lexus and Toyota latches seem to be interchangeable on certain years... Makes sense but it sure seem the Toyota stuff is cheaper.

I see where some of the very new stuff seems to be electric only, a little scary I guess. I don't know I just like the idea of being able to open the door without power.... Hmm, so did I mention I was going to be shaving my door locks?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Chris

This is pathetic. The damn Bump stops look nicer than anything on my car! I just bought a new one to start as a project and after reading this thread I should just sell it again.

This has to be one of the finest examples of craftsmanship ever...on anything.

I completely agree! Jason's work has motivated me to get to work on my car....... But, then I see the quality of my work, compared to his, and I just wanna cover it back up and go back inside and watch TV!

LOL. Can you imagine bringing your car to an event, and then in rolls Jason with this one and puts it right next yours? June, Pleasanton--I'm hoping it doesn't happen to me.
