If you're going to sell it some time down the road, replace the parts with factory or AutoZone parts. No need to dump the dough in it if youre planning on getting rid of it.
If you are keeping it, they sell some decent kits that arent that expensive and include everything for a nice drop and ride.

My Tahoe has been taken off the road. It had a coolant leak which turned into an intake manifold gasket which turned into a spider assembly failure. I bought a new spider assembly and (with my luck) got a defective assembly and now have to order a new one. I aired the rear out and am also getting ready to put the drop spindles on and lay out a torque arm rear suspension. You're lucky to have a pickup, you have tons of options for your rear set up.
My biggest plan is to build an aluminum 5.3 in the 5.7s place. I have the short block but dont have the time right now.
