I started with a $15.k 67 camaro and spent $ on it for 10 yrs, Sold it an bought my 69 camaro, and a bunch of parts. Now it's piece by piece. I think a lot of guys on here are the same way. Start with a budget then, its gets a lot slower.

I bet the results would be different if the poll was 'household' income rather than individual. In my case my wife makes 2x the amount i do. I would not be able to have my toys with out her. Fortunately she supports me 100% percent and encourages me to continue with my hobbies.
at this point it looks like $80K or so is the mid point income wise. It's close to a 50-50 split between those above and those below that income.
That's assuming that everyone is checking the correct box. I for one didn't. I really don't care what anyone here makes or doesn't make. I'm still waiting to see if OP will let us in on WHY he's interested in this info. Kind of doubt it though. Pretty sure he's ducking for cover at this point.
