Remember the forum thread about the 'monkey' hands? That was my all time favorite...

i bought an old fiat 124 spyder with a 1400 cc dohc, i built a 2L engine for it and had it on the engine stand ready to install. just for grins i drained the oil and went driving with a buddy to see how far we could go with zero oil in the engine, we made it 23 miles! some highway at 7o mph then started heading towards home, it started self destruct about 2 miles from the house, it wouldn't pull 5th so shifted to 4, then 3 then 2nd and it finally seized about 50 feet from the top of the hill that went to my house. we got out pushed it over the hill and i coasted into my garage. i swapped the engine the next day, then took the oil pan of the old 1400 engine and removed all the main and rod bearings...they were all perfect, zero seizure damage!!! a piston seized in the cylinder bore that's what killed it
Wow! Thats impressive.
I've always wanted to do try this with something. It will happen one day lol.

What I find scary was the guy had 632 posts. What could he have been contributing if he thought the dipstick tube was the holder for the dipsticK?
