I wad up a bit of clay -- build a "mound" out of it -- close the hood - and then measure the flattened wad to see how much clearance I have... Got to allow for a bit o'torque over etc.

Glad to see that nice EFI set up on there!

Man, she looks sweet under the hood. I'll still take a big block over a limp wristed ls engine anyday.

Thanks guys! Yeah, this thing has come a long ways. Still quite a bit to do before spring.

Good idea Greg! I've got some silly putty around here somewhere that I'll try.

Todd, when I started working under the hood cleaning things up I checked out payback more than a few times. It's kind of funny, when our first turd of a motor died I wanted to look into doing an LS swap. Beth said "that's just not right". I'm glad we went the way we did. If it's a dinosour then I think it's a T-frickn-Rex!

It looks nice under there. I'm worried about the height of me air cleaner.

Thanks Wayne!

I'll measure the height of my setup next time I'm in the shop for you to referance against yours.

When it was in the shop getting the rear repainted we had the shop trim the radius around the air cleaner under the hood. Our air cleaner had also clipped that radius with the old setup. Part of the hood inner structure had been hacked up by the previous owner so I didn't feel bad about doing a bit more.

I started playing with the wiring last night. I set it up on a table so I could wrap my head around how it all fits together. After plugging things in it started looking less complicated.
