Default Solid Mounts

Hi Everyone
I'm thinking about purchasing some solid mounts for my 72 Nova and I need some input on Brands and is one better that the other and why.

Thanks

Moroso works for me. If the Nova is like the Camaro there are different height factory subframe mounts, you should verify their height before ordering the engine mounts.

Don't get the "half height" mounts -- Vegas69 (his Lat G name) on here has them and they've caused him a lot of issues with clearances etc...

Like Weld said, know going in that half-height mounts can cause many other issues.

To my knowledge, DSE is the ONLY supplier of solid mounts for 3rd gen Novas that accounts for the factory spacer at the firewall location. All others - that I'm aware of - require you to maintain the OE spacer at that location which yields a less that stellar visual. Most manufacturers sell the Nova guys the same part as the Camaro uses. The Camaro/Firebirds don't have that spacer from the factory though.

DSE also sells the same part number for Camaro and Nova. The difference is with their bolt kit. The Nova has a specific bolt kit that includes a spacer that is machined to match their solid body mount kit. That yields a better looking install versus a nice spacer sandwiched with an ugly OE piece of steel.

Note I do not yet have the DSE kit to confirm but I've confirmed with DSE tech on more than one occasion.
