The ultimate sound varies depending on what your backing it up against. However, we ONLY run XR1 on our builds. Our shop Camaro actually picked up .12 ET by adding them compared to none at all (open headers).
Most of our client builds are Big Blocks and they sound super aggressive. If you are annoyed by interior resonance then these are NOT for you. They are free flowing and loud.

Here is a 510ci BBC with 3.5" XR1's we built a few years ago.

I like their slims, item #40536 w/oval 3.5" inlet and outlet but I was looking to do 3" from my 3" headers in oval tubing as I'm sitting pretty low. Would rather do borla's but it's looking like I may have to go Spintechs. Don't know if that's a good route or not as people seem to have a love hate relationship w/them. I noticed Scott changed from Spintechs to Borlas. I'm really trying to keep things tucked up for clearance. Open to all suggestions

Default Stainless Steel Works

I run SSW turbo mufflers and I love them The right amount of resistance to lower the sound (lower is relative) when normal driving but the back sounds like musics when you get on it. Very happy. I run 3 inch all the way. Could not do 3.5 for clearance issues. Specifcially I run thier part part #: TM5C3O3OP . Have for several years. THey seat behind a BBC 632

Thanks Todd. I heard your car a few years ago at the LG SEMA party. Back then you had your "old" BBC. What mufflers were you running back then ?
Yours sounded pretty bad ass too. I remember Mark L and I turning around when you pulled in and being instantly drawn to your car because of the sound.
