Default GM Steering Column Identification?

I have a GM steering column that I would to repair and reuse.

It's a non-tilt, column shift version, circa 70's I would guess.

How can I identify the model and model year that this column came from? I don't see any numbers stamped on the column, other than a "229". I would like to replace a couple of internal pieces .... the gear selector and turn signal cams.

Is there a part number stamped somewhere that I'm missing?
